dora financial is a credit union service organization, powered by the credit union movement and provides a path to financial security and asset building.
What languages is Dora available in?
Dora is available in both Spanish and English.
As for our name, Dora, what’s the inspiration behind this?
Well, our inspiration is co-op pioneer Dora Maxwell, who helped charter hundreds of credit unions in the Northeast and the Midwest United States. She believed everyone should have access to fair deposit products, just as we do.
What is Dora’s Mission?
Dora’s Mission is to work to reduce racial and economic disparity and provide access to fair financial products and services to everyone.
What institution holds my account?
The Dora everyday checking account is provided by USALLIANCE Financial. Dora Financial is a service provider for USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union d/b/a USALLIANCE Financial.
Is there a minimum fee required to open an account?
Not at all! There is no minimum requirement to open a Dora checking account.
Why am I being asked for a copy of my SSN, proof of address, and/or photo ID?
Banking regulations require that we properly identify account holders and their addresses. If during your original application, we can’t verify your identity we will request further documentation.
When will I receive my Dora Debit Card after opening my Checking account?
Your Dora Debit Card is typically placed in the mail within one business day after opening your Everyday checking account. It usually takes up to 5-7 business days for your Dora Debit Card to arrive.

How do I fund my Dora Everyday Checking Account?
Account holders can use the integrated feature to set-up direct deposit, make a mobile deposit, or link the Dora Debit Card to Venmo or other payment transfer services. Dora users can also deposit cash through our Cash Deposit Network of retailers.
What if my Dora debit card was lost, stolen, or damaged?
If your card is lost or stolen, has unauthorized charges, or appears to have been compromised in any way, please sign in to the Dora mobile app and select more, and then manage cards to freeze your card or call 800-754-4128. All purchases, online and atm, will be declined.
What ATMs can I use?
Our ATM network includes NYCE, PLUS, CO-OP, VISA®, Honor, Pulse, Express Cash, and all other surcharge-free ATM locations. Use our ATM locator feature in the Dora mobile banking app to find surcharge-free ATMs nearby.
*Please note that using an ATM outside of our surcharge-free ATM network will cause you to accrue a fee from the external financial institution as well as from Dora.*
Is Dora insured by NCUA?
Dora is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) providing marketing services. The Dora Account is provided by USALLIANCE Financial. Dora Financial is a service provider for USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union d/b/a USALLIANCE Financial. The Dora Everyday Checking account is held at USALLIANCE and is protected by NCUA insurance to at least $250,000.
How do I activate my Dora Debit card?
Once you receive your card you are able to activate the debit card through the mobile app. If there are any questions about activating your card please contact 1-833-998-DORA
How do I get free financial coaching?
Dora Financial has partnered with TrustPlus to bring account holders personalized financial coaching. It's a free service and completely confidential. If you ARE a dora account holder, schedule a session in the dora financial app under, “ more” in the navigation. Then click on, “financial coaching” to schedule a day and time.

How do I contact Dora support?
To contact the Dora support team, please follow these steps:
Log into the dora app.
From the home screen press the “more” icon on the bottom right of screen.
Next, press “Dora Support”.
In the first field, select a topic that your question may fall under. if that topic doesn’t exist, please select “other”.
Type your question in the “description” box.
You can also add images/files if needed. simply click “add file” in the attachments box, under the description box.
Once you are finished, click “submit”. a ticket will be created and sent directly to the dora support team. a specialist will be reaching out to you on the email address we have on file.
*if you are unable to log into the dora app for any reason, you can submit a ticket by emailing: dorasupport@bankdora.com. a ticket will be created in the same manner as above and a dora specialist will be in contact with you.*
