  • Dora Financial is a Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) founded by USALLIANCE Financial in August 2021 to serve individuals in America currently not participating in mainstream financial services. Dedicated to financial inclusion, our app features a fully bilingual digital experience that supports individuals with low to moderate income. Our goal is to help people find the pathway to credit union membership.

  • Banking services are provided by USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union d/b/a USALLIANCE Financial. Accounts are insured up to $250,000 through USALLIANCE Financial. Member NCUA.

  • The ATM network includes NYCE, Plus, Co-Op, Visa®, Honor, Pulse, Express Cash, and all other surcharge-free ATM locations. Use the ATM locator feature in the Dora mobile app to find surcharge-free ATMs nearby.

Account Opening

  • Dora accepts SSN, ITIN, International Passport or Consular ID to open an account. In addition to this primary form of identification, we may also need other documentation to verify your address or to further verify your identity.

  • Signing up for a Dora account is simple! The Dora app easily guides you through the process of account opening. Click here to view the process as well as items you may need to have available if you are registering using a SSN or ITIN.

  • Not at all! There is no minimum amount requirement to open a Dora checking account.

  • Banking regulations require that we properly identify account holders and their addresses. If during your original application, we can’t verify your identity we will request further documentation.

  • Your Dora debit card is typically placed in the mail within one business day after opening your everyday checking account. It usually takes up to 5-7 business days for your dora debit card to arrive.

  • Once you receive your card you are able to activate the debit card through the mobile app. If there are any questions about activating your card please contact 1-833-998-dora.

  • If your card is lost or stolen, has unauthorized charges, or appears to have been compromised in any way, please sign in to the Dora mobile app and select More, and then Manage Cards to freeze your card or call 800-754-4128. All purchases, online and at ATMs, will be declined.

  • To contact the Dora support team, please follow these steps:

    Log into the Dora app.

    From the home screen press the “More” icon on the bottom right of the screen.

    Next, press “Dora Support”.

    In the first field, select a topic that your question may fall under. If your topic doesn’t exist, please select “other”.

    Type your question in the “description” box.

    You can also add images/files if needed. Simply click “add file” in the attachments box, under the description box.

    Once you are finished, click “submit”. A ticket will be created and sent directly to the Dora support team. A support specialist will be reaching out to you at the email address we have on file.

    *If you are unable to log into the Dora app for any reason, you can submit a ticket by emailing: dorasupport@dorafi.com. A ticket will be created in the same manner as above and a Dora support specialist will be in contact with you.

Funding your Dora Checking Account

  • Dora users can set up direct deposit through the app, make mobile deposits with checks, or link the Dora debit card to Zelle, CashApp, Venmo or other payment transfer services. Dora users can also deposit cash through our Cash Deposit Network of retailers.

  • You can add cash to your Dora account at any of the participating retailers found in the Dora app. To find the map of local retailers follow these steps:

    Tap Move Money at bottom of screen.

    Scroll to the right and tap Deposit Cash.

    Review the terms and conditions and tap that you accept the terms.

    Enter your location and tap see locations near me. Icons will populate the map showing local participating retailers.

    At the retail location, go to the cashier and let them know you would like to deposit cash into your Dora account.

    Tap View Barcode in the Dora app to display the barcode that the store's cashier will scan for your deposit.

    Give the cashier your cash. The funds will be available in your Dora account instantly.

    Dora Cash Deposit works with a variety of retail chains, but not every location may accept deposits. Please be sure to check the map in the Dora app to ensure the location accepts cash deposits.

  • Once you are at the participating retailer, follow these steps to make your deposit:

    Go to the cashier and let them know you would like to deposit cash into your account.

    Have the barcode from the Dora app ready. The cashier will scan the code and you will give them the cash to deposit.

    Once the cashier is done, they will provide you with a receipt. The funds will appear in your Dora account immediately.

    Please note: If a cashier is not familiar with Dora or the cash deposit process, let them know your account supports in-person cash deposits.

  • The cash you deposit will be available in your Dora account when the cashier completes the transaction. You can begin using these funds immediately.

  • Yes. There is a cash deposit processing fee of $3.00 per transaction. This fee will be deducted from your available funds and will show in your transaction history.

  • You can deposit up to $500 per transaction and up to $500 per day.

Free Financial Coaching

  • Dora Financial has partnered with TrustPlus to bring our users personalized financial coaching. It is a free service and completely confidential.

    Scheduling a session is easy. From the Dora mobile app, select More and then select Financial Coaching to schedule a day and time for your session.
